MNR College of Nursing
The nursing college was established in the year 2002 with an intake of 40 and from 2006 onwards it was increased to 100. It is recognised by Indian Nursing Council and affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada and Kaloji Narayana Rao University Health Science, Warangal.
Our college has an independent spacious building adjacent to the medical college and hospital with good infrastructure as per the norms of the regulatory bodies. The institution has designed a course pattern that meets the requirements of world-class quality and provides the necessary academic environment to maintain the standards of the nursing profession.
MNR College of Nursing has also started M.Sc Nursing course in 2009. Our institution motivates and orients students in wider aspects of clinical experience and provides comprehensive nursing care. Students who have completed the course are working worldwide, spreading the fragrance of MNR.
Philosophy
Nursing is a dynamic profession that is scientifically based and influenced by advances and innovations in science and technology, as well as emerging trends in society and healthcare delivery systems.
Nursing contributes to human welfare through promotion of health, prevention of illness, alleviation of suffering, care of the sick, counseling, and rehabilitation. It is based on values of caring and aims to help individuals attain independence in self-care.
It requires compassion and understanding of human behavior to provide care with respect and dignity, protecting the rights of individuals and groups. Nursing practice includes promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care across all life stages.
MNR College of Nursing strives for personal and professional growth of students. The faculty motivates students to become nurse clinicians, administrators, educators, and researchers.
Undergraduate programs develop critical thinking, competencies, and professional standards, while postgraduate programs enhance cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills in specialized nursing fields.
