The management of the college gives top priority for the recruitment of well qualified & experienced teaching staff. MNR College of Pharmacy follows all the norms and educational qualifications required as per statutory bodies for the recruitment of teaching staff at various levels. Recruitment for regular posting of faculty takes place through the procedure of advertisement, scrutiny of applications conduct of interviews by the selection committee constituted as per the norms of the Osmania University.
The performances of an academic staff are appraised on the basis of well defined criteria developed by the management of the institution in consultation with the university. Such criteria are commensurate with their responsibilities at the degree programme and other expectations that might have been elaborated at the time of their recruitments. The criteria generally bring out information relating to their teaching responsibilities and outcomes, research activities and extension / outreach activities, besides their participation in advancing the mission of the college.
The academic staff submit their self- appraisal form to the head of the department, who after review and evaluation forward it to the principal. After adding his recommendation and remarks the principal forwards it to the management. The management evaluates such data keeping in view the obligations of the faculty, college and the university to its stakeholders and communicates its commendation, feedback or non compliant status of the concerned faculty and the college for consideration and implementation.
Innovations by the faculty in teaching and learning activities; contributions to teaching and learning are activities that contribute to the improvement of student learning.
The college encourages academic staff to improve their skill and expertise; attain higher learning through their participation in continuing professional development/workshop/seminar in the relevant area.
The faculty members are encouraged to undergo training programs to acquire additional skills through hands on experience.
